A.J. SOSEBY is an independently owned gift shop and modern mercantile based in Columbus, Ohio. We offer thoughtfully curated home goods, homekeeping tools, fragrance, and everyday essentials chosen for daily living and gifting.


When are you open?

Our current winter hours are Saturday & Sunday, 12–4.

Is A.J. SOSEBY a gift shop?

Yes. Gifting is central to what we do. Our collections are designed to make gifting feel easy and intentional, whether you’re shopping for a housewarming, host gift, or everyday occasion.


Do you offer local pickup in Columbus, Ohio?

Yes. If local in-store pickup is available for an item, it will appear as an option at checkout.


Do you offer shipping?

Yes. We offer shipping within the United States. Shipping rates and delivery timelines are shown at checkout.


How long does it take for orders to ship?

Orders typically ship within 2–5 business days. During seasonal events and high-volume weekends, processing times may be slightly longer.


Do you accept returns or exchanges?

We accept returns on eligible items within 14 days of delivery. Items must be unused and in original condition.
Please note: certain items are final sale (see below).


What items are final sale?

For hygiene and safety, the following items are final sale:

  • Fragrance and personal care products

  • Candles and incense

  • Sale items

  • Seasonal items (as marked)

If you have questions before purchasing, we’re always happy to help.


My item arrived damaged—what should I do?

Please email us within 48 hours of delivery with:

  • Your order number

  • A photo of the item and packaging

We’ll make it right.


Do you offer gift wrapping?

We offer thoughtful packaging that’s ready to gift. If you’d like your order marked as a gift, please include a note at checkout.


Can I include a gift note?

Yes. Add your message at checkout and we’ll include it with your order.


I saw something in-store but don’t see it online. Can I purchase it?

Often, yes. Some items sell quickly or are stocked in limited quantities. Email us at Adam@ajsoseby.com and we’ll do our best to help.
